What is maternity care at Alpha Clinic?

Our maternity service covers the whole arc of a pregnancy: confirmation and dating, the anomaly and growth scans, nutrition and anaemia management, delivery planning, and the postnatal period for both mother and baby.

Antenatal care is offered as a package so the cost is known from the beginning, and every visit is with the same obstetrician rather than whoever is on duty.

Antenatal Packages

Scheduled consultations, scans and bloods across all three trimesters, priced as one package with no surprise additions.

High-Risk Pregnancy

Closer monitoring for hypertension, gestational diabetes, thyroid disease, twins or a previous caesarean, with the physician team alongside.

Postnatal & Newborn

Recovery checks, wound and lactation support, contraception counselling, and the newborn examination and first vaccinations.

What to expect

Care that does not stop at delivery

The six weeks after birth are where most families feel least supported. We keep the postnatal review, lactation help, mood screening and the baby’s first immunisations inside the same clinic, so you are not travelling between three places with a newborn.

As soon as you have a positive test. An early dating scan between six and nine weeks confirms viability and gives an accurate due date, which everything else is planned against.

A standard pregnancy involves a dating scan, an anomaly scan at around twenty weeks, and a growth scan in the third trimester. High-risk pregnancies need more, and we will tell you why each one is being ordered.

Antenatal and postnatal care is delivered here, and your obstetrician coordinates the delivery at our partner hospital. Your notes, scans and birth plan travel with you.

The antenatal package covers the listed consultations, scans and routine bloods. If a complication requires additional monitoring we tell you the cost before ordering it.
