What is lab & diagnostics at Alpha Clinic?

Having the laboratory and imaging in the same building changes how quickly a problem gets solved. A patient seen at nine can have bloods drawn, a scan done and the results discussed with their consultant the same afternoon.

Samples are processed in-house with external quality control, and reports are released digitally as soon as they are validated.

Laboratory

Complete blood counts, biochemistry, HbA1c, lipid and thyroid profiles, hormone assays, urine and culture work, with external quality assurance.

Ultrasound

Obstetric, pelvic and abdominal scanning performed by the consultant who ordered it, so findings are interpreted in context.

Imaging & Cardiac

Digital X-ray and OPG at low dose, plus resting ECG and cardiac risk screening as part of health packages.

Frequently asked

Most routine bloods and imaging are reported the same working day. Cultures and certain hormone assays take longer, and we will tell you the expected date when the sample is taken.

For fasting samples it helps to come early, but walk-ins are accepted through the morning. Ultrasound and X-ray are scheduled.

Yes, if you are bringing a prescription or a health-package request. If the results are abnormal we will ask you to see a consultant, and we will tell you which one.

Yes. Reports are issued under our accredited laboratory and are accepted by hospitals, insurers and employers.
